Is that “KNOVA” with a silent “K”?
Consona Corporation, the business formerly known as M2M Holdings, Inc. (more on this tomorrow), today announced its first major business move with the new moniker, officially closing the acquisition of KNOVA Software, Inc. The all-cash transaction was valued at approximately $47 million.
Though buying KNOVA is the first Consona acquisition, the M2M/Consona franchise has made six in the last eighteen months, performing buyouts of Cimnet Systems, Inc., AXIS Computer Systems, Inc., Encompix, Inc., Intuitive Manufacturing Systems, Inc., and Onyx Software Corporation.
With the acquisition comes the launch of Consona CRM, a CRM-focused (naturally) operating division of Consona Corporation, which now houses sister product lines KNOVA and Onyx CRM.
Consona Corporation is a privately-held holding company jointly owned by Battery Ventures and Thoma Cressey Equity Partners. M2M Holdings claims a customer base of over 4,500 worldwide in industries including manufacturing, distribution, financial services, health care, contact center, high-tech, and local government.
