Unitech opens big building
Unitech Electronics, a Taiwan-based 3C channel distributor, inaugurated a new logistics center outside Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan on Tuesday. Unitech was pleased as punch to throw out lots of numbers, and so will we, because we here at CRMchump love the stats.
The center was erected at a total cost of $150 million, occupies 3,636 square meters (39,141 square feet) of land, boasts a total floor area of 5,620 square meters, and is capable of holding 3,000 storage spaces.
Software management systems based on Oracle ERP/CRM and Exceed 4000 warehouse management system solutions will be used in running the center. This is the second logistics center built by Unitech in Taiwan, with the first opened in January 2001.
